Always it is calling me, for the blood of man They say I cannot be this, I am jaded, hiding from the day. I can't bare, I cannot tame the hunger in me Oh, I say I did it always searching, you can't fuck with fate. So instead you'll taste my pain. The hunger inside given to me, makes me feel alive. Always out stalking prey, in the dark I hide. Feeling, falling, hating, feel like I am fading, hating life. They say I cannot be this, I am jaded, hiding from the day. I can't bare, I cannot tame the hunger in me... Oh, I say I did it always searching, you can't fuck with fate. So instead you'll taste my pain. You say your life I'm taking, always bothering me, I can't take this anymore, I'm failing, always smothering me You look down on me, hey what you see, take this gift from me, you will soon feed from me. Nothing seems exciting, always the same hiding It's haunting me. It's haunting me. It's haunting me. It's haunting me. It's haunting me... song by Marilyn Manson - "Redeemer" ------- Inspiration: I've read Robin McKinley's "Sunshine" and it was very good! The vampires in it are scary, and look it, but still retain their own class of nonhuman beauty. It was a really amazing spin... so I did this, and another, piece based on it. White skin is SO much easier to do then dark skin! Still, over all, this is a favorite of mine since it reflects that I'm getting better. I liked doing his background, twas fun. How long did this piece take on OC? I'll disagree about the white skin theory, i always find dark skin eaasier because it hide imperfections. But it always amounts to the bg colors, light/dark and where the focus is...

This piece took me about 2 or 3 days to finish, working on it on and off during the weekend when I wasn't moving out a friend. ^_^" Now on I plan to track my hours, like I normally do for Photoshop work.
I like doing pale skin since it seems to be so much easier for me because I just found it easier. One of my good art buddies does a LOT of dark people for her art, but I found it hard to do it, but do-able. ^_^"" If you peak around my gallery, you'll even find chibi art I did on a dark BG using the "add mode" layer.
